April well and truly showered us with some great projects. Here’s a round-up of what’s been going on at Global Street Art, work and play!
Annatomix piece in Wandsworth commissioned by Transport for London
When we were approached to brighten up Wandsworth Roundabout, we knew Annatomix would be perfect for the job! Creating a series of geometric birds, she really brought a lot of colour and life to what was quite a dull space. Check out the video and images below to see the fantastic results!
Interview with Brolga
We spoke to Brolga last month, the Brooklyn-based street artist and illustrator known for his bright, pop-styled wheat pastes and murals. In the interview, GSA writer Tawny Saez dives into Brolga’s story from Australia to Brooklyn and explores the deeper meaning behind his work. Learn more about Brolga here!
#WallsProject
Our #WallsProject continues as always, finding walls for some amazing artists to show off what they can do. This month we saw the likes of Manu Invisible, Andy Council and El Jerrino.
The Molotow 127HS review
The Molotow 127HS has been a writer’s favourite sketching marker since it first came on the scene – we reviewed the marker, which reminded us why we like it so much! Thanks to OMSK for the image below!
Dr Martens new store in Camden
With an new store opening in the heart of Camden Market, Dr Martens wanted to make a statement, letting everyone know they had arrived. We helped them do just this by creating an amazing piece of art to help launch the new store and welcome everyone to Camden!
Interview with Yoav Litvin, author of 2Create
2Create is a new project by Yoav Litvin that gives readers a closer look into the collaborations of different artists and street art murals all around New York City.
This vibrant book holds interviews with each artist containing their background, their process when creating, and thoughts on artistic influences and the benefits of doing a collaboration.
In this interview, we spoke to Yoav to learn a bit more about the book!
