Over the past year we’ve helped to organise 30 murals in a housing estate in Chalk Farm. The project started by accident but became a pilot for an Art for Estates program. Its a free initiative to increase the amount of public art in housing estates in London.
We organised murals with local, national and international artists; the project has been a great success but don’t take our word for it…
@Dai4films have spoken to artists involved in the project, residents of the estate and local representatives of the council to get an insight into how the project has impacted the local area. See what they all have to say below:
Do you live on or manage a housing estate in London? If you are interested in finding out more about the Art for Estates project and how we can bring it to your community, send us a message at dudes@globalstreetart.com!
